The Acupuncture Society of Virginia (ASVA) is the only professional membership organization of Licensed Acupuncturists (L.Ac.s) dedicated to promoting the practice of Acupuncture Chinese Medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
As a non-profit 501(c)6, our mission is to uphold high professional ethics and standards by monitoring and supporting legislation regarding professional standards and public safety and to educate the general public regarding the nature and scope of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
We support clinical research verifying the effectiveness of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
We collaborate with national healthcare professional organizations and their providers to provide public education and best practices for holistic complementary and integrative medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
